[HOGWARTS AU PLANNING]

Name: Neil Dylandy
Age: 16 (Seventh year)
House: GRYFFINDOR REPRESENT
Wand: 9 3/4", oak, phoenix tail feather
(Patronus: Badger)

Classes:
Charms - Ryo
Defense Against the Dark Arts - Cross
Potions - Crocker
Transfiguration - Arthur
Astronomy - Ten
History of Magic - Edgeworth

He's not particularly gifted at anything, but he works damn hard and has the patience to make sure that if he's not at the top of the class, then he's at least in the upper middle. The only things he's really not very good at were Herbology and Potions. (POTIONS o9)

Bio: First year to mid-way through fourth, Neil was the type of student teachers either love or hate. He was a nice kid who got on with people, and mostly did his work, but he was mischievous and was always playing pranks. Especially on his brother.

Mid-way through fourth year, though, something happened that changed him and left him with his lifelong goal - Neil wants to be an Auror. That is really his sole ambition in life, he wants to become an Auror and kill (or at the very least, capture and send to Azkaban) as many Death Eaters as he can and in doing so, take revenge on the ones who killed his family.

Yeah, Neil and Lyle are the last surviving members of the Dylandy line, saved only by the fact they were at school during the Death Eater attack. A small group of Death Eaters attacked Belfast, causing fires and explosions for shits, giggles, and muggle killings. The Dylandys lived on the outskirts, but they had been in the wrong place at the wrong time and had died with the muggles. The muggle government blamed a muggle terrorist group - when the boys were informed by Dumbledore what had happened, there was no such cover-up.

Because of this, for a good few weeks mid-way into fourth year, Neil went from a good (if mischievous) student to an absolute delinquent, starting fights at the drop of a hat, not doing homework, withdrawing from everyone, and generally being a nightmare. Those of you who shared his 4th-year dorm room and have very good hearing may have heard him waking up in the middle of the night with nightmares.

He very nearly quit the Quidditch team, but Yoruichi and the others convinced him not to. Any time then not spent on the court was spent…as alone as he could get, either in his dorm, in the common room, in the library, or when all of those had people in, the infirmary, where Pam was very understanding.

LUCKILY, THIS DID NOT LAST FOREVER. And in actual fact, probably left him slightly less fucked up in the long-term than canon did. Still, it wouldn't take too skilled a Legilimens to see that after that breakdown period there he was covering up a lot of darkness in his heart. After that incident, he became someone who could, and gladly would, use an Unforgivable on a Death Eater.

Nevertheless, he's a lot more like he was before - better, in the classroom respects, since he became a lot more willing to knuckle down and focus on getting good grades and becoming an Auror - helping Kaito and the other Gryffindor pranksters leave their mark, even though he no longer pranked Lyle. His temper, however, is a bit more quick, however much he tries to control it - the upper-school kids who pick on the lower-school ones, the ones who bully the weaker kids, etc, they'll all get chewed out (or in worse cases, a fight will break out and one or both will end up in the hospital wing. Again).

He's also King Big Brother. Doesn't matter what House you're in, really, if you look in need of a helping hand, he's likely to give it to you.

I'M UP FOR ANY CR PING ME FOR ANYTHING.
