Of course, that had led to some unpleasant misunderstandings in the past (he'd really thought Lockon was going to take his head off that one time - he's always had a dangerous temper, hasn't he? how could I have missed it? - and in hindsight, he'd been genuinely sorry for what he'd said that day), but really, he needed what little joy he could scrape together at this point.]
